The Lexington Police Department is currently investigating a homicide and shooting incident that took place on Tates Creek Road. The event occurred on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at approximately 10:34 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of Tates Creek Road following reports of a shooting involving two victims.
Upon arrival, law enforcement found two male individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim was declared dead at the scene, while the other was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
The Fayette County Coroner’s Office is responsible for releasing the identity of the deceased individual.
