Partners for Youth has announced the commencement of registration for the 2025 Summer Youth Job Training Program (SYJTP) in Lexington, Kentucky. This initiative aims to provide workforce training opportunities to 300 students from grades 10 through 12 during the 2025-2026 school year. The program collaborates with local businesses and community-based partners.

The open enrollment period allows interested youth to complete their registration process. Those who have participated in previous years are required to sign up again. Local businesses can also enroll to become worksites, offering positions for youth workers for up to 20 hours a week over a six-week period during the summer.

Employers participating in SYJTP do not bear direct wage costs, as wages are paid by the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government. However, employers are expected to contribute through training, supervision, and mentorship, which are considered vital components of this public-private partnership.

For further details about the program or registration, individuals can visit the Partners for Youth website.
