The Lexington Police Department is investigating a homicide following the death of a shooting victim from an incident on Russell Cave Road. The shooting occurred on September 27, 2024, at approximately 1:57 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Russell Cave Road in response to reports of a shooting with a victim.
Upon arrival, officers found a male victim outside with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and later succumbed to his injuries.
