One Person Charged in Connection with Fatal Vehicle Collision in Lexington

Lexington, Dec 13 2023 - A tragic vehicle collision that occurred in April 2023 has led to the indictment of one individual. Robert Seeley, 67, has been charged with Vehicular Homicide, DUI 1st (Aggravated), and Failure to Notify DOT of Address Change in connection with the incident.

The collision took place on April 30, 2023, in the 5900 block of Todds Road. According to the preliminary investigation, Seeley's vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a passenger vehicle. The female driver of the passenger vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a local hospital. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries on May 11, 2023.

Further investigation by the Collision Reconstruction Unit revealed that Seeley was impaired at the time of the collision. A Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) evaluated him, confirming his impairment. The authorities continued to investigate the factors surrounding the collision, leading to Seeley's indictment on December 6, 2023.

As of now, Robert Seeley is being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
