Lexington Police Investigating Homicide on Winburn Drive

Lexington Police are currently investigating a homicide that took place on Winburn Drive. The incident occurred on the evening of December 12, 2023, and officers were called to the scene at around 7:25 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. The identity of the victim will be released by the Fayette County Coroner's Office.

According to the Lexington Police Department, all parties involved in the incident have been identified, and detectives from the Personal Crimes Section are currently conducting an investigation.
