The New Tax Law On Utility Bills
In an effort to better serve our citizens, we would like to share some information with you regarding the posts on social media about the new tax law on utility bills.
Beginning January 1,2023, HB 8 becomes law, which states that residential property owners who receive bills for more than one service address are only state tax exempt at their primary residence. This change affects a small percentage of City of Nicholasville customers. The affected customers will receive the letter below explaining the change and the forms that must be filled out for exemptions.
