One person has been arrested on an out-of-state warrant from Alabama with the help of the Lexington Police Department’s Real-Time Intelligence Center and Flock license plate readers.

On November 21, 2024, detectives were contacted by the U.S. Marshals Service that a wanted subject from Alabama may be heading to Lexington. Utilizing the Real-Time Intelligence Center, which includes Flock license plate readers, officers were able to locate the vehicle the subject was traveling in at the Comfort Inn on Buena Vista Road.

Kiarah Jones, 30, was arrested on the out-of-state warrant and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Fentanyl) during the arrest.

He is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
