Martin Luther King Blvd. will be temporarily closed for sanitary sewer construction between East Fifth Street and Rand Ave. The closure is set to begin on Monday, November 25, with an expected reopening by Friday, December 27.

To navigate around the closure, drivers traveling north on Martin Luther King Blvd. can detour using East Fifth Street and North Limestone. Southbound drivers are advised to use East Sixth Street and Elm Tree Lane as alternative routes. Engman Alley remains accessible via Rand Ave. during this period. Residents in the area will still have access to their homes throughout the construction.

This project is part of ongoing efforts to replace aging sewer lines that require frequent maintenance due to their condition.
