Suspect arrested for assault and burglary incidents on November 19

A suspect has been apprehended following an incident involving assault and burglary in the city. The events unfolded on November 19, 2024, when police were dispatched to a residence located in the 100 block of E Fifth Street at approximately 12:52 p.m. The suspect allegedly entered the home without permission before leaving the scene.

Shortly after, officers responded to another call from a residence in the 100 block of DeWeese Street regarding a disorder. It was reported that the suspect assaulted two individuals inside this location.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office assisted in locating and arresting the suspect on DeWeese Street. The individual arrested has been identified as Justin Clark, aged 31. He faces multiple charges including Burglary 1st Degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Methamphetamine), Assault 2nd Degree, Assault 4th Degree, and Resisting Arrest. Additionally, there are unrelated warrants against him.
