One person has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on Hillcrest Avenue on June 28. Trent Watkins, aged 20, faces charges including one count of Assault in the second degree and six counts of Wanton Endangerment in the first degree. He is currently detained at the Fayette County Detention Center.
The incident took place around 1:26 a.m. when officers responded to reports of shots fired near Hillcrest Ave and Highland Drive. A female victim was found in the 300 block of Hillcrest Ave with a gunshot wound and was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
