Technology aids Lexington Police in apprehending burglary suspect

On Thursday, October 10, 2024, officers from the Lexington Police Department responded to a burglary report at a residence on Brown Avenue. The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m., where an individual unlawfully entered the home and stole car keys, a vehicle, and other items.

The police utilized their Flock License Plate Readers and Fūsus software to track down the stolen vehicle later that day. This technological assistance led to the identification and arrest of Penny Lineweaver, aged 40. She faces charges of Burglary 2nd Degree, Theft By Unlawful Taking (Auto $10,000 < $100,000), and Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine).
