Lexington police arrest man linked to multiple robberies

One person has been arrested in connection with several robberies that took place on July 7.

On July 7, 2024, around 6:02 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Speedway in the 1200 block of New Circle Road for an attempted robbery. The suspect entered the store with a weapon and demanded money before fleeing. Then around 6:35 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Clark’s Pump and Shop on Detroit Avenue for a robbery. The suspect entered the store with a weapon and demanded money before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money. Around 7:25 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Sam’s Club on New Circle Road for an assault. When officers arrived, they learned that the suspect entered the store and attempted to steal money. The suspect struck an employee with a weapon before fleeing the store.

Justin Clark, 31, was arrested on July 13, 2024, after an officer located Clark on a stolen bicycle. He was arrested and charged with three counts of Robbery 1st Degree in connection with the robberies, as well as Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition All Others for stealing the bicycle. He is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
