The Fourth of July celebrations are set to return to Lexington, promising a full slate of events for residents and visitors. Mayor Linda Gorton announced the festivities, which will include the annual patriotic concert, ice cream social, Bluegrass 10,000 and Fun Run, festival, parade, and fireworks.

“We’re bringing back all the favorites,” said Gorton. “Once again, we are going to have wonderful celebrations of American freedom and democracy. Break out your red, white and blue. Gather family and friends. And come out and enjoy all the fun.”

The fireworks display is made possible through a partnership with R.J. Corman Railroad Group. The show will launch from the company’s railyard near Oliver Lewis Way and West Main Street at 10 p.m. on Thursday, July 4.

Corman Railroad Group. “This collaboration highlights our commitment to our city and community. We look forward to a spectacular celebration of our freedoms together.”
