Two arrested in connection with Forcht Bank robbery

Two individuals have been arrested in connection with a bank robbery that occurred on May 21, 2024.

On May 21, 2024, around 4:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Forcht Bank on Southland Drive following reports of a robbery. Two suspects entered the bank and demanded money before fleeing. Utilizing technology from the Real-Time Intelligence Center, including traffic cameras, license plate readers, and Fusus, detectives identified the suspects.

Markwez Wynn, 26, and Stephen Hampton, 26, were arrested on June 12, 2024, in Nashville by the FBI and Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. Both are being held at the Davidson County Downtown Detention Center on charges of Robbery in the First Degree while awaiting extradition to Fayette County.
