U.S. Congressman Andy Barr recently disclosed the allocation of $1,635,200 in federal funding to the City of Georgetown for the engineering and design of the extension of Lexus Way and expansion of Old Oxford Pike. In response to the funding announcement, Congressman Barr stated, "The area served by this project continues to see exponential residential and commercial growth, and improvements to these roads will improve long-term efficiency of the roadway itself, increase economic productivity, and enhance safety measures for workers and consumers."
