Richmond, KY – U.S. Congressman Andy Barr revealed that $3,500,000 in federal funding has been allocated to Eastern Kentucky University for the Central Kentucky Regional Airport. The funds are designated for the construction of a general aviation terminal to meet the growing needs of the airport and ensure efficient service for various stakeholders.

Commenting on the significance of the project, Congressman Barr highlighted the importance of aviation in Kentucky, stating, "With aviation serving as the number one export in Kentucky, the demand for professional flight, aerospace management, and technology is critical."
