The Lexington Police Department has officially announced that it will host the Cops and Bobbers event on Saturday, June 1, 2024. The event is scheduled to take place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Gainesway Park Fishing Pond.
This public event invites community members to join officers for an enjoyable day filled with fishing, complimentary food, and face painting activities. Importantly, no prior fishing experience or license is required to participate in this event. Moreover, all necessary fishing equipment will be provided by the organizers.
Cops and Bobbers is an event specifically designed for children and is free of charge. It offers a unique opportunity for young participants to interact with local law enforcement officers in a relaxed and fun environment.
