The Neighborhood Enhancement Match Grant Program is now accepting applications from Sept. 1 through Oct. 1, aiming to support neighborhoods and community-based groups in Lexington seeking to improve the city's corridors or roadways.

The Corridors Commission, which administers the grant program, encourages projects focused on beautification, litter awareness and clean-ups, and repairs of dilapidated neighborhood features. "Our community is filled with passionate neighbors and vibrant neighborhoods and these grants help to empower engaged Lexingtonians to enhance and beautify their communities," said Councilman James Brown, Chair of the Commission.

The program operates as a 2:1 matching grant. For every $1 requested by an applicant, they must provide an additional $0.50 match. Eligible projects must be located in areas that abut or are on one of the 31 designated corridors.

Applications should include activities that are open to the public and benefit the entire corridor. Interested parties can learn more about the program by visiting lexingtonky.gov/boards/corridors-commission.
