Alexis Williams-Hall Promoted to Victim Services Branch Manager

Department of Corrections (DOC) Deputy Commissioner Lisa Lamb today announced the promotion of Alexis Williams-Hall to branch manager of the Victim Services Branch (VSB). The key focus of VSB is to provide resources and information to victims/survivors, criminal justice professionals, and other individuals who assist victims/survivors across the state.

“Williams-Hall has been an integral part of DOC’s Victim Services Branch since 2009,” said Lamb. “That 14 years of experience is of the utmost importance as she will now lead our other victim advocates in this important work. Her compassion and diligence in helping victims is unparalleled and we are fortunate and excited to have her in this new role.”

Williams-Hall began her career with the DOC as a victim advocate in February 2009. In addition to her duties as a victim advocate, she was also tasked with taking over the program manager role for the VINE (Victim Information and Notification Everyday) system in 2017. Recently, Williams-Hall played a crucial role in DOC receiving a grant of over $500,000 to update the Classic VINE system to the Enhanced VINE system. The implementation of Enhanced VINE has allowed for more comprehensive services to be provided to victims throughout the commonwealth.

After receiving her bachelor’s degree in sociology and criminal justice in 2006, Williams-Hall worked as a paralegal in North Carolina before moving to Kentucky in 2009. She received a master’s degree in child and adolescent psychology in 2014 and is currently working to obtain a second master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling to become a licensed counselor.

Williams-Hall is the recipient of the 2010 Commissioner’s Award for her involvement with “Project Safety” which was designed to familiarize more people in the community with DOC’s victim notification services. She is also a graduate of the 2014-2015 Commissioner’s Executive Leadership Program.
