Transy Women's Basketball opens season in UT-Dallas Tournament, wins 66-45 over Concordia Texas
In their season opener at the Texas-Dallas Tournament, the Pioneers came out strong with a 23-9 lead over Concordia by the end of the first quarter.
Maddie Kellione- FG 6-10, 3PT 5-9, 6 REB in 25 minutes played
Laken Ball- 10 REB in 22 minutes played
Kennedi Stacy- 9 REB in 26 minutes played
Sydney Wright- 8 REB in 13 minutes played
Team Total: 59 REB
"We did a great job rebounding on both ends and hit all of our targets. It's hard to predict offense and defense at the beginning of year, but rebounding is a battle we are committed to winning every day," said Head Coach Juli Fulks.
The Pioneers will face UT-Dallas today to finish out their trip to Texas before returning home to host the Pat Deacon Classic over the Thanksgiving weekend.
