UK Libraries’ survey aims to better service campus

UK Libraries’ survey aims to better service campus

Have an idea on what is missing from your library experience at the University of Kentucky? Don’t miss your opportunity to speak up. Students who share their thoughts on UK’s library service can enter to win a USB mini-projector or noise-canceling headphones.

During Fall 2022, UK Libraries will be seeking campus feedback about library service quality by running a brief, locally developed survey, starting this week through Nov. 18. The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. The survey may be accessed here.

Data and comments collected in this survey will help UK Libraries understand faculty and students’ satisfaction with, as well as perceptions of, a variety of library services, including their impact on academic and research success. By participating in this survey, you will directly impact library services and spaces, including access to information (print and electronic resources), customer service, facilities, equipment and collections. All responses are collected anonymously.

Previous library satisfaction survey results have led to improvements in UK Libraries’ website, ease-of-access to electronic resources as well as the creation of the Thomas D. Clark Graduate Study.

As the premier research library in the Commonwealth, UK Libraries empowers lifelong learners to discover, create and connect by providing ever-expanding access to quality information and collaborating with academic and creative communities worldwide to advance knowledge, enhance scholarship and preserve the history and culture of the Commonwealth. The University of Kentucky is increasingly the first choice for students, faculty and staff to pursue their passions and their professional goals. In the last two years, Forbes has named UK among the best employers for diversity, and INSIGHT into Diversity recognized us as a Diversity Champion four years running. UK is ranked among the top 30 campuses in the nation for LGBTQ* inclusion and safety. UK has been judged a “Great College to Work for" three years in a row, and UK is among only 22 universities in the country on Forbes' list of "America's Best Employers."  We are ranked among the top 10 percent of public institutions for research expenditures — a tangible symbol of our breadth and depth as a university focused on discovery that changes lives and communities. And our patients know and appreciate the fact that UK HealthCare has been named the state’s top hospital for five straight years. Accolades and honors are great. But they are more important for what they represent: the idea that creating a community of belonging and commitment to excellence is how we honor our mission to be not simply the University of Kentucky, but the University for Kentucky.
