Graduates earn 281 degrees, certificates from Asbury Theological Seminary

About 95.7 percent of the 281 degrees and certificates handed out by Asbury Theological Seminary in 2017-18 were to students in theology and religious vocations programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Wilmore conferred 211 master's degrees and 55 doctor's degrees in theology and religious vocations programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in divinity/ministry. Data shows the school gave out 117 master's degrees in divinity/ministry, followed by 35 doctor's degrees in divinity/ministry and 26 master's degrees in missions/missionary studies and missiology.

The seminary enrolled 1,690 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in 1690 programs.
