Cost of college went up for all students at American National University-Lexington

Tuition and fees rose 16.6 percent for 2018-19 at American National University-Lexington, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Kentucky students paid $17,361 to attend the four-year private for-profit institution this year – $2,475 more than the $14,886 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 7 students received grants or scholarships totaling $35,272 and 6 students took out student loans totaling more than $27,085.

Including all undergraduates (299), 116 students used grants or scholarships totaling $515,718, and 60 students took out $361,605 in federal student loans.
