Cost of college went up for all students at Asbury University

Tuition and fees rose 2.4 percent for 2018-19 at Asbury University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Kentucky students paid $30,198 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $698 more than the $29,500 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 99 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 316 students received grants or scholarships totaling $5.3 million and 220 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.6 million.

Including all undergraduates (1,940), 1,497 students used grants or scholarships totaling $21.3 million, and 981 students took out $6.6 million in federal student loans.
