94 percent of applicants to the University of Kentucky were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of Kentucky, 93 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 55 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Lexington enrolled 29,182 students in fall 2018, including 22,136 in undergraduate and 7,046 in graduate programs, data shows. 4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

63 percent of undergraduates are residents of Kentucky, and 35 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (75 percent) and Black or African American (7 percent).

The school admitted 94 percent of the 19,324 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 28 percent enrolled.
