Old Republic INS Co. issued the following announcement on Jan. 23

With the winter chill upon many parts of the country, here’s a friendly reminder on what NOT to do when someone is experiencing frostbite

Rub the frostbitten area with snow.

Massage the frostbitten area or walk on frostbitten toes to avoid further tissue damage.

Use a heating pad, heat lamp, hot water or other high-temperature heat sources to warm the skin.

Use chemical warmers directly on frostbitten tissue.

So, what is the *correct* way to handle frostbite and hypothermia? Check out this article by the National Safety Council to learn more. https://hubs.ly/H0mJ9Jc0 #BITCOInsurance
