U.S. Congressman Andy Barr (R-KY-06) has promoted McKinzii Todd Poe to the position of District Director for Kentucky’s Sixth District. Poe previously served as Deputy District Director for nearly four years under Tatum Dale, who died on Christmas Eve last year.

“McKinzii has been a steady, trusted presence in our district operation for years,” said Congressman Barr. “She learned directly from Tatum Dale and helped carry forward the standard of service and care that Tatum set for this office. I am confident that McKinzii will continue that legacy with integrity, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to the people of the Sixth District.”

Poe expressed her appreciation for the promotion and reflected on her experiences in the office. “I am humbled by the opportunity Congressman Barr has given me and by the trust he has placed in me to continue leading our district office,” said Poe. “I have been fortunate to work for Congressman Barr for many years, and the reputation our office has earned is a direct reflection of the high expectations he sets and the standard of service he holds us to every day. I thank God for the opportunity to have learned from and worked alongside my dear friend, Tatum Dale, and I thank God for the hope that through Him we will see her again. I am committed to carrying forward that same dedication to serving the constituents of the Sixth District and the entire Commonwealth.”

In her new role, Poe will oversee district staff, manage constituent services, and lead outreach initiatives across Central Kentucky. She began working with Barr during his 2018 campaign before joining his congressional staff later that year. Since then, she has held several positions including Caseworker, Director of Economic Development, and Deputy District Director since 2022.

Outside her government work, Poe serves on Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky’s Board of Directors.

Poe is originally from Rockcastle County where she graduated from Rockcastle County High School. She attended Eastern Kentucky University in Madison County, earning both a Bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration and a Master’s degree in Public Administration.
