Clara Strack was named to the U.S. Basketball Writers Association All-America Honorable Mention list, according to an announcement by the organization on Mar. 17.

This recognition highlights Strack’s standout season and her significant contributions to the Kentucky Wildcats women’s basketball team. Her performance has earned her several awards in recent weeks, including being a Lisa Leslie Center of the Year Top Five Finalist and making both the Naismith Player of the Year Late-Season Watch List and Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Watch List.

Strack leads her team in points, rebounds, blocks, and steals, averaging 17.1 points per game, 10.0 rebounds per game, 2.58 blocks per game, 1.82 assists per game, and 1.21 steals per game across 33 starts this season. She has also made 23 three-pointers during the current campaign.

She is noted as the only player in the nation to average at least 17 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocks per game this season. Additionally, she is recognized as the only Power Four conference player with at least those numbers combined with either assists or steals benchmarks and three-point shooting achievements.

Her defensive impact is underscored by her ranking fifth nationally in blocks per game (2.58) and second in total blocks (85), which also set a single-season school record for Kentucky. Strack joined Candace Parker as just the second player to reach at least 1,000 points, 600 rebounds, 150 blocks, 125 assists, and 50 steals within their first two seasons at a Southeastern Conference school.

During the SEC Tournament, Strack averaged over 21 points per game and delivered a historic performance against Georgia with 33 points, five three-pointers, and three blocks—the first such stat line in a women’s regulation conference tournament game this century.

Strack continues to add to her accolades with multiple high-scoring games and double-doubles this season as she helps lead Kentucky through postseason play.
