Two Arrested for Robbery in Lexington

Two people have been charged following a robbery that took place on April 20, 2024. According to the report, on April 20, 2024, around 7:21 p.m., officers were flagged down on East 5th Street for a robbery. Two individuals told officers they were meeting an individual to purchase a car, which they found on an online advertisement. When they arrived, the male suspect pulled a gun on one of the victims and demanded that they give him money. The suspect then stole additional money from the victims’ care before fleeing.

During the investigation, detectives identified two individuals involved in the robbery. Aliyon Blevins, 20, was arrested on April 20, 2024, and charged with Fleeing and Evading 1st degree and Robbery 1st degree. Wend Samne, 18, was arrested and charged with Robbery 1st degree on April 30, 2024. He is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
